“They had a very specific vision, and when we realised the uniqueness and scale of the project, we came to the conclusion that a bespoke, custom-designed experience was the only way to go.”
The Blonde Plotters are a literary collective based in Jersey, comprised of Gwyn Garfield-Bennett, Business Editor at the JEP, and authors Kelly Clayton and Deborah Carr.
They approached Virtex Studios with the aim of creating an online collaborative space for authors and readers, called MyVLF, with the view to helping people anywhere in the world engage with the literature they love.
My Virtual Literary Festival is an online portal, which has the capacity to host authors for web seminars and showcases, a section to browse a selection of books and texts, and discussion boards where avid readers can interact and share their passion for the written word.
Collaborating with Snap Design and Digital, who worked on the branding and the website build, Virtex Studios has a created a visually stunning three-dimensional space that is as warm and welcoming as any non-virtual library, developed after brainstorming with our clients to give them the exact product they were looking for. The space has been painstakingly built from the ground up, which we were able to offer at a lower cost than third parties using templates and pre-existing work.
